How we work with our clients

Since predictability is not possible at the start of a project, Duplex Loop follows a proven, quality-driven approach to help teams find solutions that satisfy a broad set of customers - i.e., the right combination of what to build, how to build, and who you build it for, as a single integrated project.
To do this, we implement agile "product team" processes that accelerate knowledge transfer from the underlying business to the project team.
Start by testing the quality
of your current plan
Traditional Gantt charts ignore technical and operational risks. Duplex Loop focuses on creating a well-defined project, which is impossible when the first plan isn't yet the right plan.
Our expertise in both agile product development and technical building systems lets us engage between internal and external teams to identify options for better business value.
In the end, a product's quality reflects the process used to develop it. We are replacing traditional hierarchies and biases to show what it really takes to "design for an outcome".
Duplex Loop can not only save clients months of time and millions in budget this way - but we can align expert teams to work fast towards new and innovative goals.

Josh Cushner founded Duplex Loop to make it easy once again to listen to customers, create trust and deliver remarkable things — despite the rigid and adversarial systems entrenched in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
As a design leader for 25 years, Josh helped high profile clients build world-class venues with innovations and strategies that separated his work from convention. Even so, he was dismayed to witness that the stifling inefficiency and often toxic work environments at the top were no different than the rest of the industry.
Determined to improve how projects come to life, Josh formalized his knowledge of how great product teams delivered from beginning to end, leading to his close collaboration with Scrum Inc. Josh Cushner has previously led very large multi-disciplinary project teams, global design programs, research-based innovation projects, and a 100-person operational unit at global design firm, Arup.
Past long-term clients include: Apple Retail, Salesforce REWS, Google Food, Meta's Workplace Innovation Team. Early strategic and creative planning work includes stadia developments for the Golden State Warriors and FC Cincinnati and the University of Minnesota and University of Colorado.
Josh's experience includes:
End to end delivery of new programs, design standards, and roll out of projects with complex technical systems.
Close collaboration with customers across sectors - commercial, industrial, arts / culture, healthcare, transportation, utilities, etc.
Leadership of large, multidisciplinary design and delivery teams.
